What if games weren’t just for entertainment, but became tools to revolutionize education? On March 18, 2025, the IOTA team met with Deputy Minister of Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency Indonesia, Ms. Irene Umar, and the Deputy of Digital Creativity, Muhammad Neil El Himam, to discuss NYALAGAMES — an edugaming platform that transforms the way students learn through the School Literacy Movement and the Merdeka Curriculum.

Quoting Ms. Irene Umar, "Collaboration among industry players is essential to enrich digital-based learning experiences," a statement that perfectly captures the foundation of IOTA’s partnership with Nyalanesia (PT. Nyala Masadepan Indonesia), a startup that develops national school literacy programs. Together, we are building NYALAGAMES. The platform is also officially supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Nyala Games allows teachers to create their own quizzes and organize inter-school competitions. We are currently in discussions with several local education departments for implementation," said Eka Chandra, CEO of IOTA.

The goal of NYALAGAMES is not to replace teachers, but to support them in creating more engaging and effective learning experiences, encouraging students to be more active and excited about learning!
